Overview.

Differential electrochemical mass spectrometry is a technique that allows online analysis of gaseous and volatile products from electrochemical reactions. The Hiden DEMS system combines electrochemical half cells with mass spectrometry.

The system configuration is a benchtop gas analysis system for electrochemistry, including ECL-Static and ECL-Insight cells and a Hiden HAL 201 RC mass spectrometer with Faraday/electron multiplier detector, with a mass range of 200 amu.

For applications where online electrochemical MS (OEMS) from an existing cell or reactor is required, a range of standard inlet options is available, offering both evolved off-gas and dissolved species analysis solutions.
