Dual Polarity SIMS Workstation.

The Dual Polarity SIMS Workstation simultaneously detects positive and negative ions using two opposing EQS spectrometers. Designed for ultra-thin layer analysis and battery research, it is ideal for studying materials such as the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer.

Overview.

Hi5 SIMS was a special, and it is where the dual polarity idea came from. It was essentially the same instrument, but with an externally sourced ion gun from Oregon Physics. The Dual Polarity SIMS Workstation is the standard product and uses

Hiden’s standard ion guns. It has two opposing EQS spectrometers that detect positive and negative ions simultaneously. Its key applications are ultra-thin layers and battery research, for example the SEI layer.
